Yes, you read it right! It is confirmed that the Indian Cricket team will be travelling to Australia for an all format 10 match series. Recently, on 13 July2020, Sourav Ganguly, President of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) said that the national team will tour Australia in December. It is calculated the Indian team will stay quarantined in hotel for two weeks.

Subsequently, BCCI has called for shortened quarantine period for the players. Currently, overall in Australia there is a control over the spread of coronavirus. On the contrary, Melbourne is the second biggest city which has witnessed a sudden increase in the number of cases.

Ganguly clearly said the tour is confirmed. Everyone is just hoping that the number of quarantine days gets reduced. Nobody wants the players to go so far and just sit in the hotel rooms for quite a long period. Fortunately, the condition in Australia is getting better and we pray that by December it even gets better. Thus, there is a high possibility of the quarantine days getting reduced.

On the other hand, the West Indies team spent 14 days in quarantine. After landing in England on June 9 2020, the test tour began on 8 July 2020. Hence, marking the return of international cricket after a long span of time.

Proudly, India won the last test series against Australia by 2-1 in 2018-19. Now, the team which is led by Virat Kohli is going to play 3 T20I, 3 ODIs and 4 test matches against Australia.
