Recently, on 20 July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia 2020 has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, the tournament was set to be played in Australia between October 18 and November 15 this year. Also, at the meeting of the IBC Board (the commercial subsidiary of the ICC), agreed for windows for the next three ICC men’s events to bring clarity to the calendar. Undoubtedly, to give cricket best possible opportunity in the upcoming three years to recover from disruption caused by COVID-19. Below are the windows announced for the Men’s events over the next years:

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021– Scheduled in October 2021. Finals will be held on 14 November 2021

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022– Scheduled in October 2022. Finals on 13 November 2022

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023– Will be conducted in India, starting in October 2023. Finals scheduled on 26 November 2023

Furthermore, the 2021 edition of T20 World Cup will be held in India as scheduled earlier. On the other hand, Australia will host the T20 World Cup in 2020, the sources said. The ICC statement also said that the IBC Board (ICC’s commercial arm) will still evaluate things in reference to having the ability to stage the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021. To illustrate, it will be held in New Zealand in February next year and planning for the event will continue.
